Vattnäs Concert Barn was built during spring 2011 on a private initiative by Contralto Anna Larsson and her husband, Artist Manager, Göran Eliasson.
“We wished to create a pure and beautiful venue for classical music in a rural setting, which for centuries has produced unique craftsmanship, artistery and music, coming from people’s need for beauty and inspiration in the Nordic winters. Our inspiration has been: simplicity, beauty and quality. This will guide us in our choice of artists and programming. In this environment we wish to create conditions for audiences to experience magic, closeness, warmth and artistery on a world class level, in an unpretentious yet stunning setting.”
